Trainer (Navy Yard)
Calum McLellan, M.A., CSCS, PES, CISSN
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Calum earned his B.S. in Physical Education from Florida Southern College, where he taught HIIT group exercise classes and provided personal training to college staff and students. Following graduation, he began his professional career with the Detroit Tigers organization, spending two seasons working with the entire organization during spring training — including the major league roster — before being assigned to the High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers. During the off seasons, he operated a mobile training business throughout the Florida Keys, serving clients from Marathon to Key West.
After his time in professional baseball, Calum pursued his master’s degree in Sport and Fitness with a concentration in Exercise Physiology at the University of Central Florida. While completing his graduate studies, he spent five years at Spectrum Sports Performance, where he trained clients, delivered nutrition coaching, and simultaneously served as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for Trinity Preparatory School — working with student athletes across multiple sports.
Over nearly nine years as owner and head coach of Paragon Training PHL, Calum built a loyal client base through individualized programming, movement assessment, and a commitment to meeting each client’s unique needs and limitations. Joining the EPT team is a natural next step in a career defined by helping people move and feel their best.
Outside the gym, Calum is a proud husband and father of three. His wife has been a steadfast supporter of his journey from the beginning, and together they are raising two boys and a girl. The boys have taken up competitive Ninja Warrior — which has officially taken over the backyard — and his daughter keeps everyone in line between gymnastics practice and managing her brothers.
